Keeping my fingers crossed

So tomorrow I have a job interview back home in PA, and I will be embarking on my 6 hour drive home is just a few hours. Haven't packed a thing, except Baby's food and mine (most important thing to tackle first naturally....wouldn't want either one of  us to starve on our journey).  I did, however make it out for another run this morning. Left at 710 am, back home at 750.  Had a bloody nose about 3/4 of the way through it-wtf! Thanks to what little nail growth I have, fixing the itch had its consequences. Kind of gross, but I carried on.  Saved a worm along the way too....it is going to be 95 degrees today and what a way to die slowly on the hot pavement. So I rescued it... I have always saved bugs my whole life (with the exception of mosquitoes and roaches and ants--am I a bug racist?) and at 40 years of age, it has not changed one bit.

Today I tried SO Delicious Coconut Milk in with my Multigrain Cheerios, one bananan and a cup of blueberries (typical breakfast for me).  Not bad, tastes a little sweet and is much thinner than soy milk.  I think I definitely prefer the vanilla soy in my cereal--right now using Silk Vanilla soymilk.  Great purchase at Shaws and BJs-two half gallons for under $8.  I am completely convinced that I can give up animal dairy--I was a skim milk drinker for years. Could suck down a gallon in a week, no problem. Read some literature along the way, speaking of if whether or not humans need this milk in their lives. Cow milk for baby cows, goat milk for baby goats, human milk for baby humans. Makes all the sense in the world, doesn't it?  Do adult goats and cows need to continue drinking their own milk? No.   I know human children 'need" milk...or rather will have a flippin' fit if they don't get it (especially the chocolate variety--ahem, my nephews).  And we cannot dispute the horrific methods of obtaining milk and the potential for antibiotics/chemicals in it thanks to the American farming practices. I don't go for cruelty to animals, and the more I research the more I want to run far away from ingesting any creature that breathes, feels emotions and  pain--ultimately, anything that has a soul. Anyway, switching my animal dairy to plant-based dairy was a personal decision and a challenge of sorts. Yes, a challenge...that is what I like to do with myself these days.   I like how my body feels with these dietary changes and am pretty damn sure I will continue this quest of purifying my body through my diet.
Now I really need to get moving.....
